Speakeasy Noire, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, is an intimate, speakeasy-inspired evening experience presented within IAAM’s Season of Jubilee, designed to convene a curated community of cultural leaders, philanthropic supporters, and corporate partners in celebration of IAAM’s anniversary and the Season of Jubilee.
Rooted in atmosphere, conversation and connection, the evening blends music, storytelling, and shared experience within a refined, high-touch environment.
Anchored by the Salon Marronage – a signature conversation led by Dr. Tonya M. Matthews –Speakeasy Noire creates space for reflection at the intersection of culture, history, and contemporary Black identity.
This Salo will feature Chef Carlos Brown, CEO of C3 Culinary Group and founder of Gullah Gourmet Brand Enterprises, and Babette Jones, CEO and founder of Six Nineteen of 1865 Spirits.
Taking place on Thursday evening, June 18, 2026, at Charleston Union Station, the evening blends cultural dialogue, live entertainment, and meaningful connection, creating a distinctive platform for both visibility and impact.
